Today was the first day that David has felt decent since his last chemo treatment..(8days ago). I had a really lovely time visiting with both David and Satira this afternoon. I was so excited to see them, I was really missing them both. It makes me feel better to SEE him. He looks really good! He had a CXR today that showed no changes! It was very fun to tell him all about my encounter with Todd Smith from Selah and our prayers for him! For those of you who do not know this story, check out http://hrhbabymonkeytoe.blogspot.com/
Todd wrote and sings a beautiful song called "Rescue Me". I have made it David's theme song, so it was really amazing to meet Todd Smith, share with him how much his song means to me, and have him commit to PRAYing for David!!! Way cool stuff. I will post a daily video from Selah for a few posts so you can check them out! They really are an amazing group...
David and Satira leave FRIDAY for a trip to warm and sunny Puerto Rico. They are going with Walker, Renee & Max. I'm so excited that David gets to leave this YUCKY weather and have special time with his family. I made him promise to get lots of pictures and if that doesn't work out, I will stalk Walker for some special ones to post here :). Keep praying! Sign up to follow this blog on the sidebar here. Hi Cheryl:
Thank you for all your love, encouragement and prayers.
David and I are in San Diego and enjoying the warmer weather. John had a difficult time getting to San Diego. He made it Christmas eve, and we are thankful for that. It has been raining so far, but today the sun is out and it is a beautiful day.
Max is a delight to be around, but he is a lot of work. He expects someone to entertain him and play with him. He is particularly attached to David. Unfortunately David is currently going through his "bad" days. The first 10 days following chemo are usually trying for David. He feels like he has the flu, is depressed, and unable to eat. Sleeping is a challenge and being awake difficult. I read your blog messages to him everyday. Thank you for being there for him.
Hope you and Paul and the family had wonderful Christmas holiday. Also hope that the weather has improved. We miss you and hope that you are feeling well again and that you are enjoying the holiday.
Hugs.
Satira
